2009 NHL First All-Star Team honors went to Thomas (G), Green (D), Chara (D), Malkin (C), Iginla (RW) and Ovechkin (LW). The 2009 NHL Second All-Star Team roster was Mason (G), Lidstrom (D), Boyle (D), Datsyuk (C), Hossa (RW) and Parise (LW).  

The 2009 NHL All-Rookie Team was comprised of newcomers Steve Mason (G), Drew Doughty (D), Luke Schenn (D), Patrik Berglund (F), Kris Versteeg (F) and Bobby Ryan (F).
